Documentation Compliance Inspector

Position Summary and Primary Focus:

Responsible for carrying out an independent final verification of documentation associated withaerospace fasteners and related products prior to product release and/or dispatch.

Provide an additional level of assurance that product documentation, certification, traceability andcustomer-specific requirements have been correctly reviewed and satisfied in accordance with theorganisation’s Quality Management System (QMS), AS9120 requirements, applicable customerrequirements and relevant product specifications.

Act as a final documentation control point, helping prevent incorrect, incomplete, inconsistent ornon-compliant certification from being released to aerospace customers.

Reporting Relationships:

Key Duties
•Perform independent overchecks of aerospace fastener documentation prior to product release ordispatch.
•Verify Certificates of Conformity, test reports, material certification and supporting quality records forcompleteness and accuracy.
•Confirm product traceability to the approved manufacturer and/or supplier.
•Check part numbers, quantities, batch/lot numbers, specifications, revisions and manufacturer detailsagainst purchase order and customer requirements.
•Ensure documentation complies with company procedures, customer requirements and applicableAS9120 Quality Management System controls.
•Identify missing, incorrect, inconsistent or potentially suspect documentation and prevent release untilissues are resolved.
•Escalate documentation discrepancies, traceability concerns and suspected counterfeit or fraudulentcertification to the Quality team.
•Raise or support nonconformance reports where documentation requirements have not been met.
•Maintain accurate records of completed documentation checks and approvals.
•Ensure documentation is legible, controlled, retrievable and retained in accordance with companyrequirements.
•Support the prevention of counterfeit or suspect unapproved parts through effective documentationand traceability verification.
•Communicate recurring documentation issues and trends to Quality and operational teams.
•Support corrective actions and continuous improvement activities relating to documentation errors.
•Work accurately to agreed priorities and delivery requirements without compromising quality orcompliance.
•Exercise authority to place product or documentation on hold where conformity or traceability cannotbe demonstrated.

Requirements – experience/qualifications:
• Experience within aerospace distribution, aerospace manufacturing, quality assurance, inspection, certification review or a comparable highly regulated environment.
• Experience reviewing Certificates of Conformity and product traceability documentation.

•Ability to compare information accurately across multiple documents.
•Ability to identify inconsistencies in part numbers, batch/lot information, specifications, quantities and certification.
•Good written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to follow controlled procedures and maintain accurate quality records.
•Confidence to stop or escalate work where compliance cannot be demonstrated.
